Hello Students, Families, and Community Members!
I'm so excited to welcome you to our school! Richmond has a long and fascinating history – the very first school in Carleton County was right here! Our building has changed and grown over the years, reflecting our community's growth, but our commitment to our students remains strong.
What makes RPS special is our strong sense of community. We're lucky to have such supportive parents and community members who are actively involved in our school. We believe that working together is key to helping our students thrive. We've got lots of fun school events and activities planned throughout the year, so there's something for everyone!
RPS is passionate about creating a warm and welcoming place where every child feels they belong. We celebrate our differences and believe that diversity makes our school stronger. We want learning to be an adventure, and our RPS staff work hard to make our classrooms engaging and inspiring.
I believe in setting high expectations – not just for academics, but also for how we treat each other. We focus on building strong academic skills, helping kids develop their social and emotional intelligence, and nurturing their leadership potential. We want our students to have a voice and to take on leadership roles. We also want to help them become responsible global citizens who understand the world and are ready to make a difference. I'm looking forward to an amazing year with our RPS family!
